- Beautiful early morning scenery in Cumbria
It’s been quite a long time since I did a blog – unfortunately I’ve just not had much time to myself to dedicate to my personal photography projects and so my blog has suffered. If you’ve been to Keswick, you’ll know that this is one of the iconic images of Derwentwater – the little boats for hire, where people can take some time out and just relax on the water. Bliss!

This is an old photograph from my first trip to the Lake District in September of 2009. This photograph of the Millennium Stone in Derwentwater was taken with a Canon 500D and 18-55mm kit lens. The smooth water was created by using a very dark filter which increased the length of time it took to take the photograph to around 20 seconds.
And no – I didn’t put the stone in there in Photoshop!
