At the weekend I had arranged a model day for myself and a few friends from a photography thread I run. Whilst we were waiting for the model to arrive, we ventured into the industrial estate where the studio was, and I decided to try out my new 100mm L macro lens. The results were a little impressive!

Using natural light only and the lenses maximum aperture of f2.8 I managed to get some headshots which ooze quality. The detail in the full size image is astounding – which is exactly what you would expect from a Canon 5D Mark II and 100mm f2.8L IS Macro lens.

Not bad at all for an industrial estate in the middle of Tamworth!
